The consultation interface is connected to a database containing indicative data on dietary composition. Its aim is to make the search for information within the BDA database easier, quicker and more user-friendly.

1) Food composition data tend to rapidly change and become outdated and obsolete. It is therefore not possible to know exactly the composition of a certain food item also due to the great variability between the different food samples. 2) In general, the source of every single item of data has been quoted. We apologise in advance for any possible omission users may find. 3) The data contained in the BDA can be adopted particularly for nutritional evaluations on large population groups. On the other hand, for more precise assessment of food intake on an individual level, more detailed and direct analyses on the consumed food are necessary. 4) Data can be employed for commercial use only upon written authorization by the European Institute of Oncology. 5) When making use of the BDA � even for non-commercial use � the origin of the data should be clearly indicated. For complete and correct citation of the BDA, please refer to the section on Copyrights in this website. 6) The European Institute of Oncology does not assume any responsibility in case of inappropriate use of the data or in case of incorrect application of the nutrients in dietary calculation or similar evaluations.
