Outpatient Exams and Visits
The Reception Desk in Hall B is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. We advise you to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled exam or visit. For private services, patients must bring the request made by their doctor, indicating the type of visit or test to be performed and any prior diagnostic exams that may be necessary. For services covered by the National Health Service (SSN), upon admission patients must bring:
- the request made by their family doctor for the visit or tests to be performed;
- your taxpayer code;
- your National Health Service (SSN) card;
- any prior diagnostic exams that have been performed.
- Exam reports can be picked up at the Reception Desk from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday. On request, they can be delivered to the patient’s home for a surcharge.
Please note that only italian residents can access to the hospital through the Italian National Health Service (SSN), foreign people can access to the hospital privately.
Admission
The chief nurse of the ward will Phone you to inform you of the scheduled admission date. Patients must check in at the Reception Desk from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1.30 p.m. on Saturday mornings. On Saturday afternoons, Sundays and holidays patients are admitted at the Reception Desk in Hall A.As a patient, you must bring:
your taxpayer code;
- your National Health Service (SSN) card;
- a copy of your clinical records if you have previously been hospitalised elsewhere.
- Only for admissions covered by the National Health Service (SSN): the National Health Service card and the request of your family doctor.
Upon admission, the Reception Desk staff will:
- give you the form to fill out allowing IEO to handle personal data (privacy form);
- give you your admission form in a sealed envelope, to be given to the chief nurse at the hospital ward;
- enable pay Phone service in your hospital room.
Discharge
When patients are discharged, they must go to the Reception Desk from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. from Monday to Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays to:
• to request the outstanding balance of expenses;
• if desired, request copies of the clinical records and diagnostic exams. |
