Agreemets with Medical Insurance Funds and Insurance Companies
The European Institute of Oncology has stipulated agreements with most insurance organisations offering medical coverage and with the medical insurance funds of various professional and trade associations.
The agreements can be direct or indirect.
- Direct Agreements – the organisation with special agreements with the European Institute of Oncology assumes direct responsibility for full or partial payment of the services the Institute provides to those covered by the organisation (in the event of partial coverage, the European Institute of Oncology will request the balance of payment from the patient).
- Indirect Agreements – the patient pays the entire amount due for the services the Institute has provided and then submits a request for a full or partial refund to his or her insurance company or specific medical insurance fund.
We suggest that you check in advance with your insurance company or medical insurance fund to find out the terms and procedures that must be followed to benefit from the agreement.
