    Dr De Cobelli practices his clinical and surgical activity at the European Institute of Oncology in Milan, mainly dealing with the treatment of urological tumors of the prostate, bladder, kidney, testis and penis, performing more than 3,000 surgical interventions as first operator since 1998, of which 60% were of major surgery.

    Over the last five years, he has been dedicated to the development of Robot-Assisted Laparoscopic Surgery in Urology, with particular interest in the neoplastic disease of prostate, performing more than 850 Radical Prostatectomy interventions as first operator. Over the past two years, has also been dedicated to robotic surgery of the kidney with more than 160 interventions between radical nephrectomies and enucleated robot assisted resections. He also performed 13 robotic radical cystectomies.


    At the European Institute of Oncology, Dr De Cobelli organizes accredited CME courses, multidisciplinary meetings between the Divisions of Urology, Radiation Oncology and Medical Oncology, the Journal Club meetings and coordinates the Uro-Oncologic Task Force. In April 2009, in cooperation with the Florida Hospital in Orlando, Florida, USA, he organized the course "The European Institute of Oncology Joins the Florida Hospital Global Robotic Institute for the 4th Annual World Robotic Urology Symposium".

    He also worked as preceptor and proctor of robotic surgery at numerous Italian (Brescia, Lecco, Alessandria, Nuoro, San Giovanni Rotondo, Pavia) and foreign centers (Cluj-Napoca, Bucharest, Romania, Pleven, Bulgaria). The results of the processes of teaching/learning/tutoring have been presented at International Congresses.
