Presented research with new drugs
At the annual meeting dedicated to Breast Cancer, held in San Antonio, Texas, new research the results of a study of 600 patients that involved Italian centers including the European Institute of Oncology was presented.
The aim of the study is to increase time without relapse, in in women with breast cancer who - despite treatment - succumb to metastases.
Giuseppe Curigliano, Director of the Development Division of New Drugs IEO states that the combination of some drugs increases the time in which patients have no relapses and, in the long run, their survival. The study concerns women affected by a particular form of breast cancer:«Her2 positive»
