IEO Women's Cancer Center: a multifunctional and multidisciplinary center for the women
The problem that women face when diagnosed with a cancer are many and varied and require specific understanding and dedicated treatment plans.
For this reason IEO has established the ‘Women’s Cancer Center (WCC)’: bringing together, experts from the IEO multidisciplinary gynecology and senology programs, under one roof to take care of our female patients.
A unique model, the WCC offers all the oncological and medical competences linked to gynecological and breast cancers. This new and highly specialized service will provide our female patients with the best treatment possible: from prevention, to diagnosis and treatment and finally follow up.
At the WCC Gynecology and Senology multidisciplinary teams (surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, imaging specialists, radiotherapists, geneticists, nutritionists, psychologists, sexologists and fertility specialists) work together to resolve all the problems that a woman, diagnosed with cancer, has to deal with and to support her all the way along her clinical path here at IEO.
