This course was designed for breast surgeons who are interested in learning robotic technique to perform robotic mastectomy and immediate reconstruction and start a feasibility research trial in their own Institute.
The training is based on lectures, videos, live surgery with observation case. The training workshop program include brief exercises on simulator MIMIC.

Objective of the Course

This scientific program was designed to provide surgeons with extensive and up-to-date knowledge in the field of robotic breast surgery. The program is intended to give knowledge up to start a feasibility trial in their own Institute to start robotic breast surgery, to learn the basic principles and techniques.
At the end of course participants should be able to:
- Became familiar with the function and operation of the robotic surgical system,
- Understand the rationale behind patient positioning and surgical approaches.
- Describe the standard robotic port placement and variations
- Recognize the anatomical markers necessary for performing these procedures
- Review the basis technical aspects of robotic surgery and be able to describe the sequence of steps required to perform robotic breast surgical procedure.
